Richards Bay is South Africa’s largest harbour and enjoys warm weather all year long. The town manages to combine both industry and tourism into a unique experience for visitors. While the protected wetlands offer visitor the chance to see numerous birds, hippos and crocodiles, visitors can also visit mines, heavy industrial plants and the harbour.
Stretching from the mighty Tugela River mouth in the South to the Mozambique border in the North there are 350 kilometres of magnificent coastline to be explored. Richards Bay is only 63 kilometres from South Africa’s first world heritage site at St Lucia and the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve
